frou frou

listen to their music.

i know their name sounds stupid, but it's actually from Baudelaire, the badass french poet. he described the swishing sound that he heard the the silk skirts of the can-can girls made when he was tripping on absithe as "frou-frou." whoa that was grammar like none i have ever seen before.

fischerspooner is really good too.
as is bt, and baxter, and garbage, and the postal service, and so on and so forth

i'm going swing dancing and rock climbing a lot. great stuff, that. swing especially. needs to learn some aerials. i can't believe that i'm really going to leave my family and venture off into the world alone. this is so scary.

but it's alright
let go
oh it's so amazing here
'cause there's beauty in the breakdown.

if anyone knows how cubase sx works and wants to teach me, leave me a comment on my deviant art page

I discovered deviantart..

Soo addictive.

you know you want to.

I'm teaching little people about politics this summer. It's rather disenchanting. Je dois dire que je n'aime pas beaucoup le prof que j'aide. Il est tres ennuyant (?) et un peu bizzare. Au moins il n'est pas mechant. Je suis en train de lire L'etranger en francais maintenant. C'est tres bizzarre.

sorry i haven't updated in forever. oops.

It's been a while since I last wrote, so let me catch you up.

Finished junior year with straight A's, miraculously. Went to France for 3 weeks this past summer, stayed with Maxence, a horrible and mean French teenager, who then stayed with me for 3 weeks. Started school again.

Classes are:

AP Calculus AB--basically all topics I covered last year in Calculus
AP Biology--tons of memorization, super cool teacher
AP Art History--boring teacher, super cool topic
AP English--decent books, ok teacher
American Government--super cool teacher, supreme court opinions rock my world
French V--horrible teacher, no real learning occurs (thank god it's only one semester)
Woodwinds--flute, bass recorder, mostly the latter

Independent Study: Playwriting and production

The Fall Play, Pericles by Shakespeare is sort of dominating my life right now. Rehearsals are three hours long every day after school. I am Helicanus (worst name ever!), Pericles's advisor and buddy. When he goes adventuring around the world, I stay home in Tyre and rule.

On the college front, I have to have my "Final" Apply List in to my college counselor this Monday (Nov. 3). That means my list has to go from 14 to 9 in not very long. Scary.

This Friday is Halloween. I am dressing up as a stigmata-ish person. I need to find a good fake blood recipe and a shirt I don't care about. The latter is the easier of the two to find. That's enough for here for today. Check for new poem. My love life sucks, or rather, my lack of a love life sucks. I'm not picky or anything, just, no one likes me the way I like them. Oh well.

And you thought i was dead...

i'm back

Kristy came back from her boarding school for winter break, and I was planning this cool birthday party with Kristy, Amado, and Jordan. But then Amado and Jordan couldn't come, so I went to see The Royal Tennenbaums with Kristy and it was really good. Weird, but good. Which also happens to describe the book Kristy gave me for my birthday--House of Leaves. It's very creepy and I can't read it when I'm alone.

I completely messed up yesterday. I was supposed to be at this meeting for the creation of a webpage for the Library Teen Council, but I was in Sedona didn't get back until late last night. Now I'm trying to figure out if there's an officer's meeting tomorrow and watching Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. I got a PS2 for Christmas and Ico for my b-day, but I don't have a memory card so it's evil and I'm never going to finish Ico. I rented a ton of movies and DVD's for my party but there was no party so I watched 10 Things I Hate About You last night and started Ghost In The Shell (which has a lot of nudity, because this girl has skin that becomes "thermoptic" camoflauge). I don't know if I'll finish that. Bye.

Exams start day after tommorrow. First is English, then a weekend break, then Chem and Civ on Monday, French on Tuesday, and Precal on Wednesday. Must go study now. Just downloaded Opera (a way cool browser that I like a lot) and I'm the Stage Doorman in Kiss Me Kate, the spring Musical. Yay me. Lysistrata went wonderfully. I loved swing dancing every day after school for an hour. Farewell.
